Refund & Cancellation Policy

Effective date / Last updated: August 6, 2026

1. Overview & Purpose

This policy explains how refunds and cancellations work when you hire AppDeel for a project. We believe in being fair and transparent, so this page sets out clearly what to expect if a project needs to be paused, cancelled, or refunded — for either side. It should be read alongside our Terms & Conditions and Privacy Policy.

2. Advance Payment / Deposit

Most projects begin with an advance payment or deposit. This covers the discovery, planning, and initial design time we invest as soon as your project starts — including consultations, requirement gathering, and early design work.

The advance payment is non-refundable once work has begun, since it compensates the time and resources already committed to your project. If you cancel before any work has started (see Section 4), we'll review your case for a possible refund.

3. Refund Eligibility

A refund may be possible in the following situations:

  • We haven't started any work on your project yet
  • We fail to deliver the agreed scope of work as outlined in your quote or proposal
  • We're unable to complete the project due to a reason within our control

Refunds are generally notavailable once significant work has been completed, once you've approved a project stage, or after the website has been delivered or launched.

4. Refund Timeline Tiers

To keep things clear, here's how refunds are generally handled based on project stage:

  • Before work begins: Full refund of any advance paid, minus a reasonable administrative fee.
  • During the design phase (before your approval): Partial refund, calculated based on the work completed so far.
  • After design approval or once development has substantially started: No refund, as work and resources have already been committed based on your sign-off.
  • After delivery or launch: No refund. At this point, the project has been completed and handed over per Section 7 of our post-launch support.

5. Non-Refundable Items

Some costs are paid to third parties on your behalf or are one-time purchases that can't be reversed. These are always non-refundable, regardless of project stage:

  • Domain registration
  • Hosting fees
  • Paid themes
  • Plugins and premium plugin licenses
  • Stock images
  • Shopify or app subscription fees
  • Ad spend
  • Any other third-party fees already paid on your behalf

6. SEO, Marketing & Maintenance Services

For ongoing services like SEO, marketing, or maintenance retainers, payments already made for time and work delivered are non-refundable, since these services depend on factors like search engine behavior, market conditions, and other elements outside our control.

If you'd like to cancel a recurring plan, just let us know at least 15 days before your next billing cycle, so we can wrap things up and stop future charges. Work already completed within the current billing period is non-refundable.

7. Cancellation by the Client

If you'd like to cancel a project, please send a written request to admin@appdeel.com. Once we receive it:

  • We'll calculate the value of work completed so far
  • Any applicable refund (per Section 4) will be processed
  • You'll receive any deliverables completed and paid for up to that point

8. Cancellation by Us

In rare cases, we may need to end a project on our end — for example, due to abusive behavior toward our team, requests to build something illegal or against our policies, or non-payment despite reminders. In such cases:

  • Any amount paid for work already completed is retained by AppDeel
  • Any remaining balance owed to you for undelivered work, if applicable, will be refunded at our discretion
  • We'll always communicate clearly if this situation arises

9. Project Delays Caused by the Client

If you stop responding to us or don't provide required content, feedback, or approvals for 30 days or more, we may pause or close the project. In this case, no refund will be issued, since the delay is outside our control and resources have already been allocated to your project.

10. Revisions Instead of Refunds

If something isn't quite right, our first step is always to fix it — not refund it. We'll work with you through the agreed number of revisions (see our Terms & Conditions) to resolve any issues within the original project scope before a refund is ever considered.

11. How to Request a Refund

To request a refund, email admin@appdeel.com with:

  • Your name and project details
  • The reason for your refund request
  • Proof of payment (invoice or transaction ID)

Once approved, refunds are typically processed within 7–14 business days.

12. Refund Method

Approved refunds are returned through the original payment method used (Visa, AMEX, PayPal, or bKash). Please note that any gateway or transaction fees, along with currency conversion differences, may be deducted from the refunded amount.

13. Chargebacks

If you have any concern about a payment, please contact us first at admin@appdeel.com before raising a dispute or chargeback with your bank or PayPal. Most issues can be resolved quickly and fairly when we talk directly — a chargeback can delay things unnecessarily and pause work on your project.

14. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Refund & Cancellation Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our services or business practices. Updates will be posted on this page with a revised "Last updated" date.
