ILERT FEATURE DETAILS
Reliable & actionable alerting notifications
All in all, ILert is a great app with plenty of innovative features. It’s fast, functional, and fairly easy to use. While its free option is great for adding some advanced options to your existing workflow, I would advise upgrading to ILert Pro if you’re going to use this app regularly. The free option will suffice for adding some diversity to your workflow and it’s worth trying out at the very least; however, there are too many useful features in the pro option to miss out on. Whether you use it to send yourself alerts from your personal computer or from your iPhone, ILert is a tool worth having around!
International SMS and voice alerts SMS & phone call
the biggest advantage of using ILert is that it’s an all-in-one solution. It offers text message alerts and the ability to contact support via phone calls, making the service a viable alternative to international SMS services like Twilio Signaling.
Maintenance windows multiple alert sources
In summary these type of alert sources are great for many organizations and I love that LogRhythm has it built-in. I would be lost without some type of console-based alerting as my workflow doesn’t lend well to receiving alerts via email and I don’t have time to check a SIEM all day long. ILert has been very helpful in capturing non-alert-worthy issues and letting me know the status of the system so that when an alert does get generated I can make sure I focus on those first. Plus it makes it much easier to look through the overall status of my systems.
Escalations with iLert
One of my pet peeves is when a browser feature like automatic popup tab notifications catches you off guard. I should be able to decide what popups I receive and on what sites. Here’s where iLert and other extensions like it can help. This extension gives users fine control over the kind and number of notifications they see, or disable them altogether.
Team-based organization with iLert
As a business application, iLert makes an excellent way for employees or freelancers to keep track of their projects and the events associated with them. It is also a perfect solution for tracking professional development. Though it does not allow for several levels of project organization, for most users, it will be enough to simplify and streamline workflows.
