Warzone is a free-to-play battle royale video game developed by Infinity Ward and Raven Software and published by Activision. It is the second battle royale mode released for the Call of Duty franchise, the first being Call of Duty: Black Ops 4’s Blackout mode.

Warzone was released on March 10, 2020, for Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. It was available as an early access beta prior to its release date for all owners of the standard edition of its parent game, 2019’s Call of Duty: Modern Warfare. The game is not available on the Nintendo Switch or Google Stadia.

The game was revealed to be in development by Geoff Keighley during The Game Awards 2019 on December 12, 2019. Early access to the game began on March 9, 2020, for players who owned a copy of Modern Warfare, with a full release coming on March 10 for all players across multiple platforms. Players who downloaded Warzone received a bonus weapon blueprint for use in both Warzone and Modern Warfare Multiplayer modes.[6]
